Most listings of Edward Edson Lee's published writings include

only the major works, generally a listing of the usually

acknowledged 39 - 40 books that comprise the five - Andy

Blake, Jerry Todd, Poppy Ott, Trigger Berg, and Tuffy

Bean series. Sometimes there is a mention of two more phantom

books that were promised in the "chatterbox"portions of

his last published books, but there are no extant copies of those,

just speculation.

 

Below, thanks to information gathered by Willis Potthoff and

donated by daughter Ruth Stewart, is the most complete list of

the writer's (he referred to himself as a writer - not author)

published contributions to his audience of "pals".

 

Some of the"extra" publishers are as follows:

 

Only a Dog was self published in the Beloit Daily Newspaper. The Cruise of the Sally Ann was published in serial form in the Shelby, Ohio Daily Globe. Boys' Magazine - The Scott F. Redfield Co. The American Boy Magazine was published by Sprague Publishing 1899 - 1941. Boy Partners Magazine - produced by boys and overseen by Edward Edson Lee 4/1921 - 10/1922 The Target Magazine - A Paper for Boys - was published by the Methodist Church. Classmate was also a Methodist Church publication.
