Sherman Sheets - Shelby Bridge Disaster July 4, 1898
 
 
 
 
 
 
Note the shadow of Sherman Sheets and his camera on the building roof at the lower left corner of the picture. The shadows indicate that the sun was pretty low on the western horizon when this picture was snapped. Much time had elapsed since the actual collapse of the Main Street Bridge.
